Keyboard and focus
Navigation, menus, forms and interactive controls should be reachable without a mouse, with visible focus states and a logical tab order.
Semantic structure
Pages use landmarks, headings, labels and native controls so assistive technology can understand the structure without relying on visual layout alone.
Contrast and readability
I use a restrained palette, readable type sizes and clear states instead of relying on colour alone to communicate important information.
Images and icons
Meaningful images receive alternative text. Decorative or redundant images can use empty alternative text when nearby text already provides the same information.
Responsive layouts and zoom
Layouts are designed to reflow across phones, tablets and desktops without hiding essential content or requiring horizontal page scrolling.
Motion preferences
Shared styles respect reduced-motion preferences so transitions and animations do not become a barrier for visitors who disable motion.
